Böhler Welding Group UTP® 317LC Stainless Steel Stick Electrode measuring 1/8" X 14" easily forms a chromium-oxide layer and acts as a constant buffer against further corrosion of the underlying metal. Stainless steel electrode is an iron-base alloy with a minimum of 11% chromium content that is uniformly dispersed throughout the metal. Electrode is associated with E317L-16 AWS classification. It comes in a 10 lb box.

The outstanding characteristic of stainless steels is their ability to readily form a chromium-oxide layer which acts as a constant buffer against further corrosion of the underlying metal
