3M™ Scotch® Super 88 Series Black 8.5 mil Premium Grade Vinyl Electrical Tape measuring 3/4" X 66' features a pressure-sensitive rubber-based adhesive for providing an effective adhesion. Tape with PVC backing is designed for using up to a maximum temperature of 220 deg F and is ideal for maintaining conformability for cold weather, indoor or outdoor applications. Tape offering moisture-tight electrical and mechanical protection finds application in primary electrical insulation for all wire and cable splices rated up to 600 V and 105 deg C. It is used for harnessing of wires and cables, protective jacketing for high and low voltage bus, high voltage cable splices and repairs. Tape resisting abrasion, moisture, alkalis, acids, corrosion and varying weather conditions is compatible with solid dielectric cable insulations, rubber and synthetic splicing compounds as well as epoxy and polyurethane resins. Tape maintaining conformability for cold weather applications inhibits corrosion of electrical conductors and meets UL 510 standard with CSA certification.
